Location: 100% remote; able to work during US business hours

Pay Range: $2250 – $2625 per month
Expected Hours: 75 hours/month (approximately 15 assessments)
How you’ll make an impact (description of work):
As an Upper-Level Math Assessment Item Writer, you’ll be responsible for developing assessment items that align with learning objectives in Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics. You’ll receive feedback from Curriculum Developers to review and refine these items, ensuring they effectively measure student understanding of key mathematical concepts and provide clear, measurable outcomes. We’re looking for highly motivated, collaborative, and student-driven individuals to join our team.
What you’ll do (responsibilities):
- Write assessment items that align with learning objectives
- Develop diverse question formats to accurately assess student comprehension of key concepts
- Review and refine assessment items and solutions
- Ensure that all questions reflect clear, measurable learning outcomes
You may be a good fit if you have (requirements):
- Education and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring upper-level math experience (higher education accepted)
- Minimum of 36 completed credits in college-level math required; bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- In-depth understanding of upper-level math concepts
- Ability to create engaging, varied question formats that assess knowledge and promote critical thinking
- Skilled in writing assessment questions that align with learning objectives, ensuring clarity and unambiguous answer choices
- Ability to evaluate a wide range of ability levels
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in using Google Suite
- Excellent attention to detail
- Growth mindset and willingness to learn from constructive feedback
- Proven ability to work independently, manage schedule, and meet deadlines
- Access to a computer/laptop (with camera) and reliable high-speed internet connection
