Curriculum Developers work closely with other subject-matter experts, our production team, and an instructional coach to produce immersive, engaging, and academically rigorous learning materials that constitute the core of our curriculum. These materials include videos, assessments, and written learning activities. Curriculum Developers are experts in their fields who thrive when wearing many hats. Our team relies on highly motivated, collaborative, and student-driven individuals.
What you’ll do:
- Design and develop educational content for students
- Ensure content is pedagogically sound, engaging, age-appropriate, and accessible for students
- Write clear and measurable lesson objectives, and align teaching materials to meet objectives
- Use technology, such as Google Slides, Sheets, Docs, and screencasting software
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
- Continuously evaluate and refine content based on feedback and educational outcomes
- Collaborate on special projects and assignments
You may be a good fit if you have:
- A minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in upper-level mathematics, including Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics, preferably at the high school level
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field
- Knowledge of the structure of an effective lesson
- Familiarity with writing lesson objectives and aligning material to meet objectives
- Ability to differentiate instruction to make learning accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate
- Strong understanding of what makes a lesson engaging
- Experience using technology to support instruction, including Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially written
- Growth mindset and motivated by constructive feedback
- Proven ability to work independently, manage schedules, and meet deadlines
- High motivation, a proactive attitude, and a tendency to seek opportunities for continuous improvement
- High standards of integrity and transparency
- Access to a computer/laptop (with camera) and reliable high-speed internet connection
What makes you stand out:
- You have experience teaching AP Calculus and Statistics
- You have an active teaching certification and/or you have completed professional development or training in curriculum design and pedagogy
- You have hands-on experience designing and writing curriculum, including writing scripts for completely asynchronous video lessons
- You have experience analyzing and transforming data into actionable goals that have positively impacted your students
- You have experience with screencasting software or online instruction

Compensation & benefits:
- The expected starting pay range is $28.48-$39.68/hour. Our selected candidate’s offer will depend on various job-related factors, including location, skills, performance, and business needs.
- High cost of labor location: $37.34-$39.68/hour
- Average cost of labor location: $32.00-$34.00/hour
- Low cost of labor location: $28.48-$30.26/hour

Schedule:
- Curriculum Developers are expected to have 30-40 hours of availability each week on a year-round basis. This range of hours is designed to offer flexibility in your schedule, and there is ample work available! We consider anything over 30 hours a week to be full-time, so you would be eligible for all of our benefits!
- What your schedule looks like is up to you! Morning person? Night owl? Somewhere in between? As long as you are meeting your deadlines and are available for weekly meetings with your supervisor and peers (generally during US business hours), we support the hours that work best for you.
